That wasn't the only sexist thing about Bakuman. The women in Bakuman all end up with traditional roles of women, with Azuki's mom and Mashiro's mom both becoming housewives instead of businesswomen, and Miho becoming a voice actress. The most independent woman in the series was probably Yuriko Aoki, but even then, she was kinda girly and seemed like a hardcore shoujo fan. But I believe that the most sexist part of Bakuman was in Chapter 2, when Takagi was explained why Azuki was "smart" and Iwase was "stupid". Takagi said, and I quote, "She knows what it means to be a girl, She knows by instinct that the best thing for a girl is to get married and become somebody's wife...". Even Ichigo 100% thinks that this stupid.
